The below calculator allows a user to convert a 4-bar target bar-width size into inches from a specific spatial frequency value (cy/mrad) and a known collimator focal length.

Calculate a Desired Barwidth

Note: standard feature tolerance is +/- 0.0005" for target features larger than 0.0050". For targets 0.0049" or smaller the tolerance is +/- 10% of feature size. For example, a pinhole target that is 0.0030" diameter would have a standard tolerance of +/- 0.0003". Tighter tolerances are available if required.

Please note the max. bar width that can fit in our target wheels:

Model | Max. Bar Width (inches)

312 | 0.1616
313 | 0.2727
314 | 0.1252
315 | 0.4850
316 | 0.2727
317 | 0.2727
